Habitat for Humanity International brings families and communities in need together with volunteers and resources to build decent, affordable houses.
Special Events

KOT’s 46th annual Christmas Tree Lighting and concert on December 1, will benefit Waco Habitat for Humanity, and you can help.  KOT and Baylor Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter are raising funds and volunteer commitments to help a low-income Habitat partner family build themselves a simple, decent, affordable home, which they will purchase at cost through a zero-interest mortgage.  KOT and Baylor Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter will frame the home on the Baylor University campus (by Marrs McLean Gym) on November 28-30, during Baylor University’s weeklong Christmas on 5th event.

Meet the Caro's

Claudia Caro’s enthusiasm was almost uncontainable when she heard about Habitat and the opportunity it offered her to own her own home at an affordable price and a chance to transition out of subsidized housing.  “I want what’s best for my girls. I want this Habitat house for my girls,” Claudia expressed while holding back tears.  She is the mother of two girls, ages seven and three.  Claudia has worked in environmental services with Crothall Healthcare Inc. for over three years and with Taco Cabana since the start of 2011.  She says she’s grateful for Habitat’s house purchase program without which owning a decent, affordable home would be next to impossible.
