The ReStore Mission:
The Waco Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a building materials recycling center that provides a sustainable source of income to Waco Habitat for Humanity. The store accepts material donations from a variety of sources and uses new materials whenever possible in the construction of Habitat homes. The balance is sold to the public at greatly reduced prices.

What Does Waco Habitat ReStore do for the Community?
- Offers the public a diverse selection of building materials at greatly reduced prices.
- Serves as a community recycling center, preventing unnecessary dumping into landfills.
- Facilitates neighborhood revitalization by offering affordably priced materials.
- Provides meaningful community service and volunteer opportunities
- Partners with the City of Waco to help further its environmental initiatives.

What Does the ReStore do for Habitat for Humanity?
 - Provides sustainable means of funding for Waco Habitat for Humanity
-  Provides an alternate source for new building materials for Habitat homes.

Facts about the Waco ReStore:
The ReStore has been in operation for 6 years.  During this time we have:

1-Partnered with the Solid Waste Department for four years at the HHW event to recycle latex paint, saving the city thousands of dollars in disposal fees, and providing the recycled paint to the public at tremendous savings.  (City of Waco Solid Waste Services)

2-Partnered with the City of Waco Parks and Recreation department for three years to sell compost from the dairies in the Bosque river water shed.

3-We are the only entity recycling window glass in the greater Waco area.  To date, we have recycled 16 tons of glass (diverting from landfill) and are growing the program to potentially divert 40-50 tons of glass each year. (Midlothian glass)

4-We recycle all metals (copper, brass, aluminum, steel and tin.)
