About the ReStore
The ReStore Mission:
What Does Waco Habitat ReStore do for the Community?
What Does the ReStore do for Habitat for Humanity?
Facts about the Waco ReStore: 1-Partnered with the Solid Waste Department for four years at the HHW event to recycle latex paint, saving the city thousands of dollars in disposal fees, and providing the recycled paint to the public at tremendous savings. (City of Waco Solid Waste Services)
2-Partnered with the City of Waco Parks and Recreation department for three years to sell compost from the dairies in the Bosque river water shed. 3-We are the only entity recycling window glass in the greater Waco area. To date, we have recycled 16 tons of glass (diverting from landfill) and are growing the program to potentially divert 40-50 tons of glass each year. (Midlothian glass)
4-We recycle all metals (copper, brass, aluminum, steel and tin.) 5- We recycle cardboard and paper products through Sunbrite

The ReStore has generated over $1.1 million of support for Waco Habitat for Humanity over the past seven years. For the past few years, the ReStore has generated enough income to cover all of Waco Habitat's overhead expenses so that 100% of donor's gifts can be used in Habitat's partnership housing program.
