Building on Faith
Communities of faith play an important role in Habitat for Humanity's mission to eliminate poverty housing. In turn, Habitat for Humanity provides local faith communities with meaningful opportunities to put their faith into action by working with a family to build a simple, decent, affordable home.
Theology of the Hammer
EVERYONE is invited to participate. Habitat for Humanity's "Theology of the Hammer" acknowledges our differences while finding common ground in our shared call to manifest God's love in the world. As we focus on building a house together, we realize that our shared goals and values are more important - and productive - than those that separate us.
How Your Community of Faith Can Participate:
• Include Habitat in your annual budget
• Publicize Habitat Application Meetings (Inquire for details .)
• Provide meals to the prison partners
